Japan PC Service Co., Ltd. (NSE:6025) and AXIS Co., Ltd. concluded a business transfer basic agreement to acquire smartphone repair business from smapho station Inc. on December 3, 2019. Under the terms of the transaction, Japan PC Service Co., Ltd. will own 90% stake and the remaining 10% stake will be owned by AXIS Co., Ltd. Japan PC Service does not require any new funding and is planning to settle the transaction with cash on hand. The smartphone repair business generated ¥86.3 million for FY December 2018. The Board of Directors of Japan PC Service Co., Ltd. resolved the transaction on December 3, 2019.

The following four directors have been appointed from the company, Nobuyuki Ieki, Chairman of the Board (President of the Company); Keiichiro Okuda, President and Chief Executive Officer; Noriaki Tanabe (Director of the Company's Management Department) and Hirofumi Kanehisa (Director of Information Systems Department of the Company). The impact of this matter on consolidated business performance for the current and next fiscal years is expected to be minor.
Japan PC Service Co.,Ltd. is a Japan-based company primarily engaged in the provision of setting installation and troubleshooting of network-enabled devices, such as computers, tablet devices and digital consumer electronics. Its Smart Life Support segment has been divided into two divisions. The Field Support business is involved in the operation of directly operated stores and member stores, providing support services in major cities in Kanto, Kansai, Chubu and Kyushu. Its Membership Support Center business mainly involves in the provision of setting and failure correspondence services for network-enabled devices including computers in its call center by telephone or remote (remote control). This business is targeted at alliance companies that have entered into a contract with the Company. Its After Sales segment proposes switching proposals for network lines and proposing and selling network-compatible devices by telephone to customers of its customers and affiliated companies.
