MENLO PARK, Calif. (AP) _ Intersect ENT Inc. (XENT) on Tuesday reported a loss of $31.8 million in its third quarter.

The Menlo Park, California-based company said it had a loss of 95 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs and amortization costs, came to 48 cents per share.

The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 42 cents per share.

The maker of absorbable nasal implants posted revenue of $24.4 million in the period, also falling short of Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $29.6 million.
