Hyundai has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Posco ICT to build infrastructure to support alternative powertrain vehicles such as electric vehicles (EVs) and plug-in hybrid EVs (PHEVs) in the country. Under the agreement, the two companies will build as many as 120 charging stations around the country during 2015, while Hyundai is separately planning to provide charging systems at 2,200 locations nationwide, including dealerships, in the coming years. Hyundai will provide charging devices and Posco ICT will manage the stations.
