HEI Hospitality, LLC and Taconic Capital Advisors L.P. signed a contract to acquire Hyatt Regency Jersey City from Veris Residential, Inc. (NYSE:VRE) and Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE:H) in second quarter of 2022. In a related transaction, Veris Residential, Inc. signed a contract to sell Office property located at 23 Main Street in Holmdel, NJ in Q2 2022. Total sale price of both the transactions is $132.25 million.
HEI Hospitality, LLC and Taconic Capital Advisors L.P. completed the acquisition of Hyatt Regency Jersey City from Veris Residential, Inc. (NYSE:VRE) and Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE:H) on December 1, 2022. As part of the transaction, Taconic and HEI also assumed a $100 million fixed-rate CMBS mortgage with ample remaining term. Hyatt Regency Jersey City will continue to operate under the Hyatt Regency brand.
