According to a research done by Hrvatski Telekom, an increasing number of fixed network service users is looking for packages that would include even more services and benefits, and even 30 percent of overall new broadband users are over 60 years of age. Out of this percentage, 50 percent of users do not have a proper device for using the Internet and are afraid of using it. However, every fifth fixed network service user will opt for the broadband line if the offer includes a desktop or tablet computer.

Therefore, and in accordance with the strategy aiming at increasing the availability and use of the fast Internet, Hrvatski Telekom, in cooperation with the Organisation for Education of Citizens, started a pilot project of free training for all citizens who are young at heart. In 90 minutes of the training, an IT engineer will show the participants how Windows OS functions, how to connect to the Internet and Wi-Fi, and how to use e-mail, social networks, and other software of their interest. The training will take place in Zagreb and Split. The required equipment will be provided, but the participants can also bring along their own tablet computers or laptops. The detailed information on the training is available at the nearest T-Centre in Zagreb and Split.

The fact is that the users over 60 are a growing consumer category that perceives the digital connection as freedom and their guide to the world. They play games and most often use financial services applications and applications offering advice; they follow weather forecasts or read newspapers and communicate with their dearest. Today, they are looking for much more than just a plain fixed line and that is why Hrvatski Telekom has developed advanced packages with additional bonuses.

A special hit is the package called 'Unlimited Calls and Internet' that includes unlimited calls to all fixed and mobile networks in the Republic of Croatia, unlimited Internet, and specially adjusted tablet computer with the installed applications for reading of newspapers and online communication. 'Unlimited Calls and TV' package includes unlimited calls to all fixed and mobile networks, more than 80 TV channels, and a fixed phone at HRK 1, while 'Halo Zovem sve' package includes 100 call minutes to all fixed and mobile networks, Internet access, and a monthly discount of up to HRK 31 for the HT electricity bill.

The users of all three packages have reliable HT technicians at their disposal who help them overcome the fear of the unknown when installing packages.
