Hrvatski Telekom dd : Vedran Žitnjak new CTO of Iskon Internet

• The Manager with 16 years of experience has become Member of the Management Board and Chief Technology Officer of Iskon Internet.
• Žitnjak replaces Boris Drilo, who has taken over as Member of the Management Board and Chief Technical and Information Technology Officer (CTIO) at Hrvatski Telekom.

The Supervisory Board confirmed the appointment of Vedran Žitnjak to the new Member of the Management Board and CTO of Iskon Internet. Throughout the last 16 years, Žitnjak was holding leading positions in Iskon's technology area, of which nine years as Head of the Network Management, Planning and Surveillance Department.

During his term of service, the new CTO will focus on ensuring continued high quality provision of broadband Internet access, IPTV and fixed telephony services, as well as innovative solutions from the Iskon Lab which he considers to be crucial for Iskon's differentiation on the national telecommunications market.

'Implementation of tested solutions that provide even higher access bitrates and ensure high quality IPTV services are the core business of Iskon Internet. New opportunities can be found in technology solutions that will enable users to utilize their Internet connection for a more comfortable, more secure and more carefree life. This is what Iskon Lab, as already introduced by Iskon, is focusing on. A Smarthome solution for smart homes. In addition to further development of this service and introduction of new sensors, right now our focus is on a solution that will change the way of selection, i.e. of consumption of TV content.', said Vedran Žitnjak after the appointment.

Born in Varaždin, Žitnjak graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Maribor and therefore also started his IT career in neighbouring Slovenia. In 2000, he joined Iskon as Head of the Network Services Department, and this is why today he proudly bears the informal title of 'Genuine Iskon Person', a person who was actively and continuously contributing to the development of the leading alternative telecom operator since the times of Iskon's business operations as a startup company.
