Hexcel : congratulates VSSC on the first launch of the GSLV Mk III-D1 Launch Vehicle

DUXFORD, Cambridge, June 16 2017 -- Hexcel Corporation (NYSE: HXL) congratulates VSSC on the successful first launch of India's GSLV Mk III-D1 heavy launch vehicle on June 5 2017.
GSLV-Mk III is capable of launching the 4-ton class of satellites to Geosynchronous Transfer orbit (GTO). This three-stage vehicle has two solid motor strap-ons (S200), a liquid propellant core stage (L110) and a cryogenic stage (C25). On its first developmental flight the GSLV-Mk III-D1 carried a 3136 kg GSAT-19 satellite to a Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (GTO), following the launch from the Second Launch Pad (SLP) at Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.
HEXCEL is proud to support VSSC with the supply of carbon unidirectional and woven prepregs for the payload adapters, studs and heat shields.
