HELMA Eigenheimbau AG: FY 2022 dividend suspended in order to strengthen financing base
Lehrte, May 23, 2023 – Due to the immense macroeconomic challenges, which are especially characterised by the significant rise in interest rates and persistently high construction costs, the company’s Supervisory and Management boards have decided to amend their proposal for the appropriation of profits to the Annual General Meeting. The dividend proposal announced with the publication of the 2022 Annual Report envisaged a dividend of € 0.40 per dividend-entitled ordinary share. Today, the Management and Supervisory boards have decided to allocate all of the € 3,475,005.79 of unappropriated retained earnings of HELMA Eigenheimbau AG for the 2022 financial year to other revenue reserves and not to pay a dividend.
In the management’s view, the suspension of the dividend represents a consistent measure to respond to the ongoing challenging economic situation and to strengthen the HELMA Group’s financing with a view to the financial liabilities maturing during the current 2023 financial year. Together with its financing partners, HELMA is currently working on the implementation of suitable refinancing measures and is in constructive talks with the financing banks.
