OTE Group's performance, with a focus on sustainable development in Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) issues, as recorded in the Integrated Sustainable Development Report 2023, demonstrates that OTE Group is making significant progress in its journey towards climate neutrality and a digital society accessible to all, while remaining true to its vision of creating a better world for all.

OTE Group's performance focused on sustainable development, in Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) issues is recorded in the Integrated Sustainable Development Report 2023 while making significant progress in its journey towards climate neutrality and a digital society for all, remaining true to its vision of creating a better world for all.

Michael Tsamaz, the Chairman and CEO of OTE Group, noted the following in his message: "The technology sector plays a crucial part in providing innovations and solutions for a greener future. At the same time, the sector faces significant sustainability challenges, notably high energy consumption and the environmental impact of ICT waste, terminal equipment, and old devices. OTE Group has set the foundations and is committed to tackle these challenges thanks to our sustainability strategy. We are proud of OTE Group's 10-year sustainability journey. Our northern star was and still is to become the leading sustainable digital services provider".

OTE Group's commitments and actions on sustainable development issues are focused on 4 strategic priorities, which are aligned with those of the Telekom Group: climate neutrality, circular economy, inclusion and equal opportunities in the workplace, and a digital society for all.

The progress made by the OTE Group in 2023 and the initiatives and actions taken on ESG issues are presented in the respective key sections of the report.

Environment (E - Environment):

With climate neutrality and the circular economy as its priorities, OTE Group reduces the environmental impact of its activities and uses digital technologies to achieve the United Nations' climate change targets and address various environmental challenges. In 2023, OTE Group reduced its greenhouse gas emissions by 87% with the aim of achieving a zero- carbon footprint by 2040. And while data traffic growth on networks increased by 36% compared to 2022, the Group managed to reduce energy consumption by 11% by investing in modern technologies and replacing older equipment.

Society

To create a digital society for all, OTE Group, with an investment plan of over €3 billion until 2027, is upgrading the country's infrastructure and contributing to the creation of a digital society. In 2023, 5G coverage exceeded 90% and FTTH was available to more than 1.3 million homes and businesses. At the same time, OTE Group proposes products and services to boost entrepreneurship and reduce the environmental footprint of businesses.

In 2023, for the digital inclusion of all citizens, OTE Group carried out actions such as Grow Your Business, Educational Robotics & STEM, Wi-Fi in archaeological sites and museums, etc., resulting in direct and indirect beneficiaries reaching 7.4 million. OTE Group's social contribution also amounted to €3.95 million with an estimated 9.2 million beneficiaries through actions for the well-being of society and improvement of quality of life.

By prioritising inclusion and equal opportunities at workplace, the OTE Group ensures an environment of equal opportunities and development. With a specific policy on diversity, equality and inclusion, 33% of the Group's positions of responsibility were held by women. With a plan for over €3 billion in investments through 2027, OTE is upgrading Greece's infrastructure and contributing to the creation of a digital society, accessible to all.

With technology at the heart of its social contribution actions, OTE Group provides important tools for the development of an inclusive digital society of equal opportunities, while also taking initiatives and actions for the prosperity of society and the improvement of quality of life. In 2023, OTE Group's social contribution came to €3.95 million, with beneficiaries estimated at 9.2 million.

Prioritising inclusion and equal opportunities at work, OTE Group ensures an environment of equal opportunities and growth. With a specific policy for diversity, equality, and inclusion, 33% of positions of responsibility were filled by women in 2023. OTE Group has committed to having women filling in 30% of senior positions in 2024.

Governance

OTE Group complies with the legislation on corporate governance and adopts the relevant international practices and standards. It is the first company to be recognized as one of the World's Most Ethical Companies in Greece.

The Integrated Sustainable Development Report 2023, which is approved by OTE's Board of Directors, presents the way in which sustainable development is integrated into the Group's business strategy, governing all its operations. It is the fifth report prepared in accordance with the principles of the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC).
