SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) _ Harmonic Inc. (HLIT) on Monday reported fourth-quarter net income of $19.9 million.

The San Jose, California-based company said it had net income of 18 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 16 cents per share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 14 cents per share.

The video services provider posted revenue of $155.8 million in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $151.9 million.

For the year, the company reported net income of $13.3 million, or 12 cents per share, swinging to a profit in the period. Revenue was reported as $507.1 million.

For the current quarter ending in April, Harmonic expects its per-share earnings to range from 1 cent to 6 cents.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $134 million to $149 million for the fiscal first quarter.

Harmonic expects full-year earnings in the range of 26 cents to 40 cents per share, with revenue ranging from $570 million to $596 million.
