GSI Technology : Announces Sampling of 144Mbit SigmaQuad-IVe(TM) and SigmaDDR-IVe(TM) SRAMs

SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwired - Jul 28, 2015) - GSI Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: GSIT) today announced a new benchmark in memory performance with the introduction of 4th generation SigmaQuad™ and SigmaDDR™ memories.
The GS81314 is the latest edition of GSI's flagship SigmaQuad™ and SigmaDDR™ SRAM families. It offers 144Mbit capacity in the same 260-ball BGA footprint used for the 3rd generation devices, and provides sustained performance of up to 2.66 billion random transactions per second. In addition, thanks to the use of 40nm CMOS technology and new innovative design techniques, power has been reduced substantially versus the 3rd generation devices. The end result is a device that is ~25% faster, with ~40% less power consumption, than the nearest competing device.
GSI will also offer free, validated FPGA controller IP that can be used with the SigmaQuad-IVe™ and SigmaDDR-IVe™ families, making it easy for the system designer to incorporate the SRAMs into a wide variety of FPGA-based applications.
