Grupo Palacio de Hierro, S.A.B. de C.V. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2022. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was MXN 10,236.39 million compared to MXN 8,211.58 million a year ago. Net income was MXN 587.5 million compared to MXN 185.25 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was MXN 1.59 compared to MXN 0.52 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was MXN 1.59 compared to MXN 0.52 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was MXN 19,192.23 million compared to MXN 14,399.25 million a year ago. Net income was MXN 755.79 million compared to net loss of MXN 257.54 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was MXN 2.06 compared to basic loss per share from continuing operations of MXN 0.63 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was MXN 2.06 compared to diluted loss per share from continuing operations of MXN 0.63 a year ago.
Grupo Palacio de Hierro SAB De CV is a Mexico-based holding company primarily engaged in the retail sector. The Companyâs main activities include the operation of a network of department stores, outlets, home furnishing and accessories stores, Boutiques Palacio, boutiques, independent restaurants, bistros, restaurant-stores, travel agencies and beauty clinics; as well as a number of restaurants and travel agencies integrated in some of the stores. The Company is also involved in the real estate, through the management and operation of shopping centers located in Coyoacan, Polanco, Puebla and Monterrey. In addition, it offers sales financing services and consumer credits to its clients.
