Global Ship Lease, Inc. Announces Management Changes

Global Ship Lease, Inc. (the Company), and Poseidon Containers Holdings LLC and K&T Marine LLC (together Poseidon Containers), had (i) closed the previously announced stock-for-stock merger between the Company and Poseidon Containers (the Merger). In connection with the Merger, effective as of the effective time of the Merger, all directors of the Company, other than Michael Gross, Philippe Lemonnier and Alain Wils tendered their letters of resignation from the board of directors of the Company (the Board) and the Board was expanded to eight directors. The following are the members of the Board effective as of the effective time of the Merger: Georgios Giouroukos, Michael Chalkias, Menno Van Lacum, Henry Mannix III and Alain Pitner Effective as of the effective time of the Merger, the executive officers of the Company were the following individuals: Georgios Giouroukos as Executive Chairman; Anastasios Psaropoulos Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer and Thomas Lister as Chief Commercial Officer.
Global Ship Lease, Inc. is a United Kingdom-based containership owner, leasing ships to container shipping companies under industry-standard, fixed-rate time charters. The Company focuses on mid-size Post-Panamax and smaller containerships. As a containership owner, its business is both procyclical with chartered tonnage and counter-cyclical with sale and lease-back structures. The Company owns 68 containerships, ranging from 2,207 to 11,040 TEU, with a combined capacity of 375,406 TEU. 36 ships are wide beam Post-Panamax.
