Global Fortune Investment announced the recently completed program of aircore drilling at the 100% owned Horse Rock Project in Western Australia. The Horse Rock Project consists of two granted and two ungranted exploration licenses located 170 km north east of Kalgoorlie near the Edjudina gold mining centre. Geologically, the project is located within the Archaean aged Murrin Domain of the Kurnalpi Terrane with local gold endowment proven by historical and current significant operations such as the Porphyry Mine, Eleven Bells Deposit and the Yarri and Banjo Workings. A high level targeting exercise undertaken by GFI identified three prospects that were worthy of exploration follow up. The aircore program was designed to further test anomalous drilling results at the Eastern Shear Zone Prospect within tenement E31/887 and to provide a first pass test across the Bullet and Stark Prospects within E31/859, testing for geological controls and any gold anomalism. Drilling was completed between 13 to 15th December. Drilling was undertaken By Raglan Drilling Services Pty. Ltd. and managed by Exploration Consultancy OMNI GeoX Pty. Ltd. Samples were submitted to Intertek Genalysis Pty. Ltd. (Kalgoorlie) for gold assay. The following are the drilling details and geological observations of the three prospects that were tested: E31/887 Eastern Shear Zone: 9 aircore holes for 605m were completed across three traverses at the Eastern Linear Trend Prospect within tenement E31/887. Drilling was infilling around the previously identified anomaly (GAC012 - 6m @ 40ppb) and also testing along strike for mineralisation continuity. Drilling intersected further chlorite, biotite, sericite schists with significant quartz veining which are indicative of a mineralized shear zone. The southern traverse of holes (1 hole) was unable to be completed due to inaccessibility caused by rainfall. E31/859 - Bullet Prospect: 13 aircore holes for 279m across two traverses were completed at the Bullet Prospect located within tenement E31/859. Drilling was targeting shear zones associated with a significant granitic intrusion, a historical rock chip (14.9 g/t) was associated with prospect. Drilling intersected a package of intercalated sediments, schists, basalts and maficintermediate intrusive rocks. Chloriteamphibole alteration and quartz veining was associated with the schistose rocks, this is interpreted as being indicative of a mineralized shear zone. The Northern traverse of holes (3 holes) was unable to be completed due to inaccessibility caused by rainfall. E31/859 - Stark Prospect: 10 aircore holes for 294m across 2 traverses were completed at the Stark Prospect within tenement E31/859. Drilling was targeting a magnetic feature associated with an interpreted shear zone. Drilling intersected a package of intercalated sediments, basaltic and mafic intrusive rocks. Very minor alteration and quartz veining was observed. Assay results are expected to be returned towards the end of January, at which point the results will be interpreted and reported accordingly.
