SACRAMENTO, Calif., Jan. 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Aerojet, a GenCorp (NYSE: GY) company, announced today that Ken Panos has joined the corporation as Director of Congressional Relations. He will support Aerojet's tactical missile, missile defense, space propulsion, homeland security and international sales market sectors.

Panos comes to Aerojet from the capitol area consulting firm Whitney, Bradley & Brown, Inc. (WBB) where he managed the firm's legislative consulting practice; Department of Defense budget and congressional training product areas; and worked extensively in WBB's business analysis sector. A career Naval aviator, Panos has significant Pentagon experience that includes assignments with the Navy's Director, Air Warfare; Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Financial Management & Comptroller) and Office of Legislative Affairs. He is a recognized expert in Department of Defense financial management, the federal budget process, as well as congressional and legislative processes.

Panos, and fellow director Suzy Sterner, will guide Aerojet's congressional relations efforts. Sterner supports Aerojet's work in civil space, strategic defense, missile defense, space launch, fire suppression, energy and environmental stewardship. Additionally, she serves on the Women in Aerospace board of directors and is the Financial Secretary for the National Space Club.
