The RoboFest-NN festival sponsored by GAZ Group is going to take place in Nizhny Novgorod

Tomorrow in Nizhny Novgorod there will be the Second regional festival, RoboFest-NN under the all-Russian program "Robotics: the engineering and technical resources of the innovative Russia" sponsored by GAZ Group, a part of the Basic Element, the largest Russian diversified industrial group. The Robotics Program has been implemented since 2008 by Oleg Deripaska Foundation "Volnoye Delo" together with the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the RF and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives.

The Second Regional festival RoboFest-NN under the all-Russian program "Robotics: the engineering and technical resources of the innovative Russia" will take place at the Culture Palace of the GAZ Plant, 15 January 2015. The general partner of the Robotics program is GAZ Group.

The RoboFest-NN Festival is the regional qualifying stage for the finals of the VII all-Russia festival RoboFest-2015 to be held in Moscow in February. The RoboFest-NN festival is promoted by the Ministry of Education of the Nizhny Novgorod region and the Volga Region Center for Aerospace Education.

In the context of the festival there will be presentations of IT training projects, the exhibition of sci-tech creative products, workshops and master-classes.

The purpose of the RoboFest festival is to develop the permanent system of early vocational-oriented education, to render support and encouragement to the young people engaged in sci-tech creative work, robotics and innovative activities.

Roboticsprogram

The all-Russian program "Robotics: the engineering and technical resources of the innovative Russia" (http://russianrobotics.ru/) has been developed and implemented under the Zvorykin Project by Oleg Deripaska Foundation "Volnoye Delo" since 2008, together with the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (RosYouth) supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of the RF and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives. The purpose of the program is to bring up new engineering resources for the Russian industry on the state level, starting from the secondary school. This program is the system of educational and practical activities related to robotics. Its participants are the children, teenagers, and young people aged 8 - 25. The current number of the program participants is over 10 thousand people in 45 regions of Russia.
