FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) - Frankfurt airport operator Fraport will again hold its annual general meeting by video conference this Tuesday (9 a.m.). The executive board and supervisory board will assemble in a building at Frankfurt Airport, while shareholders have no right to be there.

In his speech, which was published in advance, CEO Stefan Schulte pointed out the strong development of foreign activities, which are recovering faster than the domestic hub after the Corona shock. The MDax group, which is controlled by the state of Hesse and the city of Frankfurt, expects the first returns from Greece and Brazil following investments worth billions of euros.

The international business contributed more than half of the Group's operating profit (Ebitda) in 2022. Shareholders will probably have to do without a dividend for 2022 just as they did for the current year. According to Schulte, this is due to the company's high level of debt.

At the domestic hub in Frankfurt, the focus is on the construction of the new third terminal and the modernization of the existing terminal buildings. The company has to make considerable efforts to recruit sufficient personnel after the Corona slump. According to Schulte, appropriate programs have been set up for this purpose./ceb/DP/ngu
