Dawia 11ft Waggler:

After looking at my budget for buying a new pellet waggler rod, I see the daiwa 11ft waggler rod for a excellent £31.49. From looking online, I was really excited to get down to my local fishing republic and see what it was like in person.

Review:

The moment had come. To be fair to Daiwa it was really lightweight and a brilliant action. I was excited to fulfil purchase and get down to my local fisheries.

My first weekend free, and testing this daiwa waggler rod was at Stewkley Three Island Lake in the heart of Buckinghamshire. A fantastic lake for a spot of wagglering.

I set up my box and got my old reel out. This already had an 8lb daiwa sensor line on and pulled out my Drennan shorty; which was 4.0g. I used a 4-inch hook length, guru mwq size 16 barbless band, which I find to be the perfect method feeder fishing and pellet waggler fishing.

The Task:

I could see that the carp were already on the top and looking around for food, so I always start off by feeding about 10 to 15 size 4mm pellets and then drop my waggler in the mix at about 2foot deep. Bang! Within 2mins I was in to a nice carp. It was only a baby around 8lb but the Daiwa Waggler was on top form and looking nice bending like a dream.

I was catching nice carp for the next 2 to 3 hours. All of which were around 5lb to 10lb; about right at a commercial lake like this. A few of the anglers around the lake came over to see how I was fishing, as for some reason they were all fishing on the bottom on the feeder. I took this opportunity to tell them about this new rod I had.

Overall:

my experience on the Daiwa 11ft waggler rod from Fishing Republic was a pleasant one. I really put the rod through its paces with the carp that I had. Altogether I caught around 20 fish which the rod handled perfectly.

I look forward to using it again next weekend at a different venue with some bigger fish.

On a serious note, it really does show that you don't have to spend a lot of money on a waggler rod to get a cracking purchase. There are some rods out there for £110+ that don't even come close. If you ask me for the money you save this is a great rod, lightweight and looks great. So why not save some notes for other kit and buy this rod?

thanks for reading, and tight lines.
