I have been fishing from the age of 5 years old. I attend almost every week and participate in a few 24+ hours sessions at locations across Essex.

Brentwood:

In 2016, I beat my personal best with a common carp of 22lb 07oz. This was caught at Crow Green Fishery in Brentwood. I cast the rod out using a single 14mm Nash Citrus pink boilie. I had been set up for around 1 hour when all of a sudden, it screamed off.

This year I have done a big number of sessions at Crow Green but was blanking and couldn't pin point why. Eventually I decided to try a new way to have my hook and bait.

Beating my own Personal Best:

I did another 24-hour session at Crow Green in Brentwood Essex. I arrived around 4pm Sunday Evening and was set up by 5pm. I managed to get on the swim I had hoped for, which is a big area that has open water to the left and to the right. I casted one rod that had an Urban Nutcracker 14mm boilie on next some overhanging trees. The next rod was out more towards the middle of lake in open water. At 11pm my right rod screamed off, and I was playing a good fish for a little while. When I got this in the net and looked, I thought to myself this looks a big carp. Finally weighed themirror carp and yes, a new personal best of 25lb 79oz.

So, now I have achieved a new personal best that I am really pleased with and the new tack ticks paid off.
