Fifth Third Bank has closed 36 more branches, including some in Greater Cincinnati, marking the latest in its string of branch cutbacks. Fifth Third experimented with tellerless branches at both of the local offices it closed. It added advanced-technology ATMs at the Carew Tower location in 2013 and at the Glendale branch shortly after that. Fifth Third also said it closed 34 other branches across its 10-state footprint. Those closings include eight in Florida, seven in Michigan, seven in Illinois, four in Northeast Ohio, three in Kentucky, one in Central Ohio, two in Indiana and two in North Carolina.
