(Alliance News) - Farmacosmo Spa reported Thursday evening that it achieved revenues of EUR52.5 million in the first nine months of the year, up 14 percent from the same period last year.

The growth is driven by the retail component, up 28 percent year-on-year, whose weight is increasingly predominant compared to B2B, down 18 percent. As of September 30, the weight of B2B sales was 31 percent compared to 56 percent recorded at the date of listing.

Fabio de Concilio, president and CEO of Farmacosmo, commented, "The first nine months have highlighted, despite a particularly challenging macro and socioeconomic context, the group's robustness and solidity. The retail channel continues to drive the group's growth, thanks in part to the contribution of portals acquired post-listing. The third quarter brought the average shopping cart of farmacosmo.it steadily above EUR100, attesting the portal among the leaders on the international scene."

Pharmacosmo closed Thursday up 6.1 percent to EUR0.72 per share.
