European Assets Trust PLC ('the Company') announces that a dividend of Euro 0.0171 per share will be paid on 31 October 2019 to shareholders on the register on 11 October 2019, having an ex-dividend date of 10 October 2019.

This will be the second dividend to be paid by the Company. On 16 March 2019 the Company absorbed by means of a cross-border merger the assets and liabilities of the Dutch company European Assets Trust NV ('EAT NV'). Shareholders in EAT NV received one ordinary share in the Company for each share held in EAT NV.

EAT NV paid dividends in January and March 2019. In addition to this October dividend, the Company paid a dividend in July 2019. These four interim dividends, with a cumulative total of Euro 0.0684 per share, provide an annual payment to shareholders representing six per cent of the closing net asset value per share of EAT NV as at 31 December 2018.

Elections for scrip dividends must be received by the Company's Registrar, Computershare Investor Services PLC, by 14 October 2019 in order to apply to this payment.
