Genoa, 28 January 2020 - ERG, through its subsidiary ERG Power Generation S.p.A, has signed a framework agreement with ENERCON GmbH, one of the largest wind turbines manufacturers in the world, for the supply of wind turbines with a potential capacity of around 190 MW destined for repowering projects in Italy and for a greenfield project in the United Kingdom.

The agreement, potentially worth 120 million Euro, was reached following a structured tendering process involving the main European OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers). In addition to the supply, it also includes the transportation, installation, commissioning and maintenance envisaged during the initial phase of the wind turbines' life cycle.

The transaction is characterised by major aspects of innovation, from both a technological standpoint, since the supply concerns next generation turbines, and a contractual perspective, with important elements of flexibility and synergies achievable thanks to the three-year framework agreement formula.

Alongside a consolidated relationship of collaboration, the two firms also have the same priorities in matters of sustainable development, such as combatting climate change and corporate social responsibility, acting as key players in energy transition.

This agreement, in line with ERG Sustainable Procurement strategy, will guarantee that the company's growth plan is fully covered at competitive conditions and using next generation technologies.
