ELIS Elis continues its growth strategy with two acquisitions in Germany and Brazil
Puteaux, January 7, 2016 - Elis, the leading multi-services group in Europe and Latin America, specializing in the rental and maintenance of professional clothing, textile articles, hygiene and well-being appliances, continues its strategy to consolidate its positions in key markets through acquisitions with the closing of two transactions in Germany and in Brazil.
These two acquisitions have combined revenues of c. €20 million on a full-year basis. They will be consolidated in Elis' financial statements from 1st January 2016 onwards.
With these transactions, Elis is continuing its strategy of targeted, value-creative bolt-on acquisitions while simultaneously strengthening its presence in several key markets.
In Germany, the Group has acquired two laundries serving mainly hospitality and healthcare clients in the Northern part of the country. With this acquisition, Elis notably enhances its coverage in the strategic region of Hamburg, the second largest Germany city in terms of population. Elis, which is determined to continue its industrial and commercial development in Germany, will have a network of 11 laundries in the country following this acquisition.
In Brazil, the Group has acquired a laundry near Sao Paulo exclusively serving high-end healthcare clients, with a brand, Martins & Lococo, that is well recognized for quality. With this acquisition, Elis further expands its operations in the Brazilian region with the highest GDP per capita.
