GPE India, Gaja Capital Partners along with a group of financial investors executed definitive agreement to acquire 50% stake in EuroKids International Private Limited from Educomp Solutions Limited for approximately INR 1.2 billion.

GPE India, Gaja Capital Partners along with a group of financial investors executed definitive agreement to acquire 50% stake in EuroKids International Private Limited from Educomp Solutions Limited (BSE:532696) for approximately INR 1.2 billion on January 8, 2013. EuroKids International had revenues of INR 415.1 million, total assets of INR 501.1 million and profit after tax of INR 47 million for the year ended March 31, 2012. The transaction completion is subject to fulfillment of customary conditions precedents.

The transaction will result in a profit of INR 7 million. Edward Bennett of Ashurst acted as legal advisor and Gopika Pant of Indian Law Partners acted as legal advisor for unknown buyer. Satish Kishanchandani of DSK Legal acted as legal advisor to owners of Eurokids.
