Asker, Norway, 30 March 2021

Cambi was awarded the contract to build a new digester for Ecopro, the
inter-municipal company in Mid-Norway. The expansion will allow processing
higher volumes, including food waste and sewage sludge, from the 57
participating municipalities around Trondheim. Biogas production will increase
significantly.

The new digester will have 6,000 m3, bringing total digestion capacity to 10,000
m3. The expansion does not require immediate changes to the thermal hydrolysis
process (THP) plant, but the installed THP capacity will be utilised more
intensely.

"Cambi is happy to have been awarded this contract by Ecopro, an innovative,
ambitious client we have had the pleasure to see growing for many years. While
most of our projects revolve around our core technology, thermal hydrolysis
installations, Cambi has experience with the turnkey supply of entire treatment
lines, such as this one in Verdal. We look forward to delivering the digester
and seeing Ecopro grow the circular economy in their region, " said Eirik
Fadnes, CEO Cambi Group.

Ecopro plan to increase the production of biogas from 30 to 37 GWh. The biogas
will mainly fuel vehicles in Trøndelag county, reducing both noise and
emissions. Tore Fløan, Ecopro CEO said: "This is an important project for
Ecopro, realising more of the potential in the waste from households and
industry in the region. It is the result of successful long-term collaboration
between many municipalities, which we look forward to seeing bear fruit in the
coming years".

The facility in Verdal is a greenfield project delivered turnkey by Cambi in
2008 with state-of-the-art thermal hydrolysis. Two digesters of 2,000 m3 each
were built at the time. The thermal hydrolysis plant was later upgraded to treat
up to 50,000 tonnes of substrate annually and currently processes about 40,000
per year.

The digester is scheduled for commissioning next year.
