Eco Building Products, Inc. announced the opening of the company's newest and large production facility in the heart of the Pacific Northwest, strategically situated in the Port of Tacoma. Manufacturing operations are tentatively scheduled to commence mid-April in preparation for the busy Spring Run supported by ECOB's expanding customer base in the Northeast and Pacific Northwest regions of the US. During the month of March, ECOB focused on new facility planning coupled with retooling previous production operations and machinery that enabled the company to arrive at this momentous milestone of crossing over into support of the high-volume, wholesale market Lumber Business.

This new facility gives the company an enhanced ability to produce a higher volume of finished goods for wholesale customers in both the PNW and NE via two coating lines with future plans to install an automated line capable of producing ten times the output over current production machinery. A big part of retooling included a closer look at the use of manpower and how last fall the company headed into the holidays by operating three shifts to try and keep up with all the orders. Part of that problem was the direct sales to lumber yards.

On any given day, multiple-house pack orders showed up for treatment while production was primarily focused on supporting big box orders. This Tacoma facility can now produce finished goods that can be loaded on rail cars and sent to the NE so facility in NJ can support those odd sizes and engineered wood products.
