Deodato.Gallery and Crazy Pizza create the first Pizza Art Box

(Alliance News) - Deodato.Gallery Spa on Tuesday presented Pizza Art Box, the latest project resulting from its collaboration with Crazy Pizza, the youngest of the Majestas Group brands.

The artist chosen for the first Pizza Art Box is Marco Lodola, one of the most well-known and appreciated contemporary Italian artists, one of the founders of the New Futurism artistic current and famous for his scenographic light sculptures.

As the company explained in a note, the work features a pin-up girl, a symbol of timeless Italianness and beauty, wearing a pizza Margherita as a hat, merging two iconic symbols of the Bel Paese into a single image.

Deodato Salafia, CEO and president of Deodato.Gallery, commented, "Just as Andy Warhol brought the famous canned Campbell's Soup to art galleries, so Marco Lodola introduces his iconic Pin-Up to Italy's most celebrated luxury dining. This project marks another step in the collaboration between Deodato.Gallery and Crazy Pizza to promote Pop Art."

Deodato.Gallery is flat at EUR0.40 per share.
