Corning Inc. will introduce Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with Native Damage Resistance(TM) at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. This latest version of the most widely deployed damage-resistant cover glass for consumer electronic devices is based on a completely new glass composition, with durability enhancements developed at the atomic structural level of the glass. With its new Native Damage Resistance(TM), Gorilla Glass 3 has been developed to provide improved durability to withstand deep scratches and cracks in the glass.

As a result, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with Native Damage Resistance provides enhanced scratch resistance, reduced scratch visibility, and better retained strength once a scratch occurs. Product qualification and design implementation for Gorilla Glass 3 with NDR are underway with Corning's global customers, who are expected to unveil new devices featuring Gorilla Glass 3 in mid-2013. The attributes of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with Native Damage Resistance will be featured in live demonstrations in Corning booth #14813, Central Hall, during show hours from Tuesday, Jan.

8 through Jan. 11.
