Compania Chilena de Fosforos SA is a Chile-based company primarily engaged in the production, distribution and marketing of safety matches under the Los Andes, Copihue, Monarca and Penley brands. The Company and its subsidiaries export match splints, matches, ice cream sticks, chopsticks, paint paddles and other wooden microproducts. In addition, the Company is also active in the forestry sector with the ownership and exploitation of poplar plantations, as well as in the sale of advertising spaces for customized printing services in matchstick boxes and lighters. As of December 31, 2012, the Company owned such subsidiaries as Terciados y Elaboracion de Maderas SA, Compania Agricola y Forestal El Alamo Ltda and Southern Sun Group SA. In addition, Inversiones Cell Chile Ltda is the Company's majority shareholder with 57.64% of interest.
