Comforia Residential REIT, Inc (TSE:3282) agreed to acquire Beneficial Interest in Real Estate Trust of COMFORIA OMORIMACHI from Godo Kaisha Residence 5 for ¥1.1 billion on January 7, 2019. The consideration will be paid at the time of delivery. In related transactions, Comforia Residential REIT, Inc agreed to acquire Comforia Kameido South, Comforia Shibuya West, Comforia Kinshicho Deux, Comforia Asakusakomagata, Comforia Omorikashima, Comforia Kamiikedai, Comforia Higashinihonbashi and Campus Village Shiinamachi for ¥17.5 billion. The transaction is funded through public offering (¥13.9 billion), borrowings (¥9.7 billion) from different lenders comprising Mizuho Bank, Ltd, Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank, Limited, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, MUFG Bank, Ltd, Mizuho Trust & Banking Co., Ltd, Shinkin Central Bank, The Norinchukin Bank, The Bank of Fukuoka, Ltd and Development Bank of Japan Inc and own funds. As of January 7, 2019, transaction has been approved by the Board of Directors of Comforia Residential REIT, Inc. The transaction is expected to complete in March 20, 2019. Japan Real Estate Institute acted as the appraisal company.
