Notice to the Market
Belo Horizonte, January 14, 2014 - Kroton Educacional S.A. ("Kroton" or "Company") - (BM&FBovespa: KROT3; OTCQX: KROTY) - in compliance with CVM Instruction 358/2002, as amended, announces to its shareholders, investors and the general market that, in a meeting of the Board of Directors held on the date hereof, the Directors acknowledged the request for resignation of Mr. Newton Maia Salomão Alves from his position as Director and the other positions on committees of the Company, as per the Letter of Resignation addressed to the Chairman of the Board of Directors. The resignation will take effect as of January 14, 2014.
The Directors and the Chief Executive Officer thank Mr. Newton Maia Salomão Alves for his dedication and contribution to the Company over the long period during which he has served in his positions and wish him success in his new endeavors.
