Cinedigm Corp. continues to expand its documentary library with three new acquisitions. Cinedigm has acquired worldwide rights to A BOND UNBROKEN, and North American rights to THE EXHIBITION and THE FIRST AMERICAN. In addition to traditional distribution channels, the documentaries will find placement on Cinedigm’s growing over-the-top (OTT) digital networks, including Docurama. In A BOND UNBROKEN, a group of Navy SEALS spends decades wondering whatever happened to their brave and selfless combat interpreter, Nguyen Hoang Minh, who was left behind in Saigon after they were evacuated from Vietnam.  Decades later, when they discover him living in abject poverty, the bond they forged during the conflict is so strong that they reunite and rally the SEAL community to give back to Minh and his family.  ABC News correspondent Bob Woodruff narrates the documentary, which also features an original song written and performed by Matchbox Twenty’s Rob Thomas.  Directed by Mary Ann Koenig and produced by Rick Dobbis, A BOND UNBROKEN will be released by Cinedigm on February 13, 2018 on DVD and Digital. THE EXHIBITION, directed by Damon Vignale, examines the challenging and sometimes controversial intersection between art and exploitation.  The documentary traces the story of Vancouver artist Pamela Masik and the public backlash she encountered when she attempted to mount a large-scale exhibition of paintings of the victims of Robert Pickton.  The documentary was produced by Vignale and Miho Yamamoto, and the Executive Producer is Rob Straight.  Cinedigm will release the documentary on February 13, 2018 on DVD and Digital. Hailing from the Gingrich Foundation and hosted by Newt and Callista Gingrich, THE FIRST AMERICAN explores the life and lasting legacy of the nation’s founder, George Washington, through dramatic re-enactments and interviews with historians, academics and politicians.  The documentary was directed by Kevin Knoblock.  Executive Producers are Newt Gingrich, Callista Gingrich, Gay Hart Gaines, Sean Hannity, Karen Buchwald Wright, and Jill and Frank Fertitta III.   Cinedigm plans to release the documentary on April 10, 2018 via DVD and Digital.
