Chugai Mining Co., Ltd. reported consolidated earnings results for the six months ended September 30, 2012. For the period, the company's revenue was JPY 9,444 million compared to JPY 15,741 million a year ago. Operating profit was JPY 827 million compared to operating loss of JPY 770 million a year ago. Recurring profit was JPY 851 million compared to recurring loss of JPY 801 million a year ago. Net profit was JPY 219 million or JPY 0.76 per share compared to net loss of JPY 857 million or JPY 2.96 per share a year ago.
The company provided earnings guidance for the year ending March 31, 2013. For the period, the company expects JPY 29,000 million, operating profit of JPY 160 million, ordinary profit of JPY 100 million and net profit of JPY 70 million or JPY 0.24 per share.

The Machinery segment purchases and sells used machine tools, sheet metal machines and others. The Investment segment is engaged in the possession, trading and operation of securities. The Content segment plans, designs, manufactures, and sells toys and play equipment, and sells, wholesales, plans, and develops character products.
