Neubiberg/Munich, October 4, 2016 - CHORUS Clean Energy AG ('CHORUS') based in Neubiberg near Munich, a company specializing in the operation of solar and wind parks, has closed the acquisition of a portfolio of four wind parks in the Poitou-Charentes region in Western France with a total capacity of 62.2 megawatts (MW). The ownership of the plants is transferred to CHORUS with the occurrence of all precedent conditions.

Two of the four wind parks with eight V90 turbines from the global market leader Vestas and a total capacity of 16 MW were already connected to the grid in July 2015. The other two wind parks with 14 V117 turbines and a total capacity of 46.2 MW were connected to the grid as scheduled in the mid of August and the mid of September.

All four parks are slated to produce over 148,000 megawatt-hours of electricity starting with the first full year of operation, which corresponds to the energy needs of about 55,000 average two-person households in Germany. CHORUS expects that the turbines will on average contribute about EUR 15 million to the company's revenue annually during the term of the feed-in tariff.

'With the scheduled operation of the wind parks Maisontiers and Glenay as well as the occurence of all additional precedent conditions which have been agreed upon on the conclusion of the contract on June 22, 2016, all requirements for the transfer of the property of the wind turbines have been fulfilled', says Holger Götze, CEO of CHORUS Clean Energy AG. 'The cooperation with the experienced project developer has been very enjoyable at all times. I am pleased that we were able to close our biggest transaction up to now with an investment volume of around EUR 120 million so well', proceeds Götze.
