ANNOUNCEMENT

CHANGES TO THE COMPOSITION OF THE BOARD AND BOARD COMMITTEES

BOARD APPOINTMENT

Ascendas Funds Management (S) Limited (the "Company"), the manager of Ascendas Real Estate Investment Trust ("Ascendas Reit") wishes to announce the appointment of Ms Ong Lee Keang Maureen as Non-Executive Independent Director of the Company with effect from 1 September 2021. Ms Ong will also be appointed as a member of the Audit and Risk Committee.

The information required to be disclosed under Rule 704(7) of the Listing Manual of the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited ("SGX-ST") in relation to the above appointment is provided to the SGX-ST in the accompanying announcement.

COMPOSITION OF BOARD AND BOARD COMMITTEES

Following the abovementioned appointment, the Board of the Company will comprise nine Directors, of whom six are Non-Executive Independent Directors. The members of the Board and the Board Committees with effect from 1 September 2021 are as follows:
