Capgemini announced on Wednesday that it is to collaborate with Microsoft to accelerate the deployment of generative artificial intelligence (AI) within the manufacturing sector.

The French technology group, which has a long-standing working relationship with the American software giant, explains that the offering dubbed 'Azure Intelligent App Factory' is intended to help companies in the manufacturing sector deploy 'responsible and sustainable' generative AI capabilities at the desired speed.

"Recent technological developments related to generative AI represent significant opportunities for organizations that want to innovate, yet too many projects in AI never reach the production stage," lamented Aiman Ezzat, Capgemini's managing director.

Capgemini and Microsoft point out that they are already cooperating in this field to help companies from the consumer goods, life sciences and energy sectors optimize their investments in AI.
