Venture capital firm Caixa Capital Risc, has led a €420,000 round in the startup Lexdir. The round, also backed by vLex and Ayce Capital partners, aims to consolidate the growth of the company and strengthen its presence in the markets in which operates: Spain, Colombia, México and Chile.

Lexdir, spin off from the legal publishing firm vLex led by entrepreneur Marc Basté, is headquartered in Barcelona and wants to become the meeting point for individuals and companies to find the most appropriate lawyer. To do this, Lexdir has developed the largest online lawyer directory in Spain, which allows users to make a first contact with the lawyer and find a direct and immediate initial response to problems. In addition, customers can see the rating from the community of users of each professional and choose the one that best meets their needs.

Only in Spain and South America, there is a lawyer market that exceeds 1.5 million. It is estimated that by the end of 2013 over 50 million individuals have searched a lawyer by Internet.

Lexdir aims to lead B2C (business to consumer) models for the legal sector in Spain and South America. In the U.S., well-established startups like Avvo, LegalZoom, Rocketklawyer, are leading the paradigm shift in the legal market on the Internet, offering business to professionals and transparent and efficient transactions to customers.
