Friedrichshafen, Germany, April 9, 2014- BRP received today the German aviation magazine aerokurier's innovation award in the category "powertrain of the future" for the Rotax 912 iS aircraft engine during AERO 2014 in Friedrichshafen, Germany, as selected by its readers.

"It is an honour for us to receive thisaward by aerokurier with BRP's Rotax 912 iS aircraft engine," said Thomas Uhr, vice-president of BRP's Austrian manufacturing facility, where Rotax aircraft engines are developed and produced. "We thank the readers of the magazine who voted for Rotax engines."

Aerokurier magazine researched the most innovative and sustainable products of the aircraft industry to be awarded in six different categories, including Powertrain of the Future. The readers had the opportunity to vote for their preference.

BRP will also present the new Rotax 912 iS Sport at the AERO in Friedrichshafen, booth A3-301. "We are confident that recognition like the Innovation Award provided by aerokurier will definitely have an influence on the development of general aviation and we are proud to be part of it," added Uhr.
