Bombardier announced on Tuesday that it expects its supply contracts with Spirit AeroSystems to continue to be honored to the highest standards of quality and performance.

This statement comes as Boeing yesterday formalized an agreement to acquire the aerostructures manufacturer on the basis of an enterprise value of $4.7 billion.

Spirit has also reached an agreement with Europe's Airbus for the divestment of certain activities, including the production of fuselage sections.

In a press release, Bombardier assures that it will continue to work closely with Spirit in the normal course of business on existing contracts.
