Boeing announced today its intention to invest a total of 210 million Canadian dollars (approximately 153 million US dollars) in several Quebec companies.

In particular, the aircraft manufacturer plans a base investment of C$110 million (US$80 million) for an aerospace development center in the new Espace Aéro innovation zone.

These investments are part of Boeing's commitment to Canada in terms of industrial and technological spin-offs for its selection of the P-8A Poseidon as a long-term multi-mission aircraft.

Boeing's investments in Quebec also include two planned technological developments, notably the Wisk engineering center, based in Montreal, focused on the development of its 4-passenger autonomous electric air cab eVTOL.

In addition, Boeing plans to collaborate at Espace Aéro with Héroux-Devtek on advanced landing gear research.
