(Bergen, 24 August 2022) Bergen Carbon Solutions AS (Bergen Carbon Solutions,
OSE: BCS)
reported an operating loss of NOK 28.2 million in the first half of 2022. The
company continues the development of our first full scale factory and the
planned expansion of the organization.

Finn Blydt-Svendsen, Interim Chief Executive Officer of Bergen Carbon Solutions
commented: "The first half of 2022 has been busy, where we have both finalized
the installation at our Test Center at Flesland, delivered the CO2 capture
module for the BIR project, and made our first investment decision to build a
factory in Høyanger.

We are focusing our commercial efforts towards several sectors, and in
particular the battery industry where global demand is expected to significantly
increase over the next decade. We aim to become an integrated part of the
battery industry value chain.

As the company moves towards full-scale factory production, our new Chairman Jon
André Løkke's entry with industrial experience will be highly valued."

A Presentation will be available on the following link at 08:00 CET.
