Bank of America plans to close its longtime location in Belleville's Public Square, consolidating the bank with two other branches in a new building near Southwestern Illinois College. The downtown Belleville branch will close April 10, Bank of America spokeswoman Diane Wagner told the Belleville News-Democrat. Branches at 330 W. Main St.
in Belleville and 10 N. Belt West in Swansea will close at about the same time and be consolidated into the new location at 1911 Carlyle Ave. in Swansea.
