Meethaq Islamic Banking from Bank Muscat continued to show its commitment to celebrate special events of national importance by conducting a special Hibati prize draw on the occasion of Omani Women's Day. Thirty cash prizes of RO 1,000 each were given away to lucky female customers on the occasion of the Omani Women's Day draw.

Speaking on the occasion, Amor Said Al Amri, Senior Regional Manager, Meethaq Branches said: "Omani women have proven their abilities and leadership skills and Meethaq would like to congratulate all women on this very happy occasion. The Hibati Savings account is based on the unrestricted Mudarabah contract. The cash prizes offered under Hibati's 2021 prize draw scheme are 'Hiba' (gift) from Meethaq to its customers and are paid out of the Mudarib's /shareholders' own sources. The cash prizes are over and above the profit share of Investment Account Holders (IAHs) in the General Mudarabah Pool as per the declared profit sharing weightages. Hibati benefits include attractive and exciting cash prizes through draws, Visa debit card, no minimum balance charges with a history of profit payout on monthly basis and state of the art eBanking facilities.

The 2021 Hibati Saving account includes many special draws including the upcoming 51st National Day Draw and the End-of-Year draw. All customers who maintain a minimum balance of RO 100 will be automatically entered into the special National Day draw, which will reward 51 lucky winners with RO 1,000 each. Meanwhile, customers who maintain quarterly average balance of RO 30,000 in the preceding quarter, will be entered into the prize draws for the End-of-Year draw. Four grand prizes of RO 50,000 each and one grand prize of RO 100,000 will be given away during the End-of-Year draw.

Meethaq will give away prizes worth RO 1.5 million to a record number of 5,331 winners in 2021. Launched in 2018, Hibati has been instrumental in improving awareness for Islamic Banking in Oman. It must be noted that every Meethaq product goes through the process of Shari'a compliance certification by the Shari'a Supervisory Board, and is created in line with the guidelines of the Central Bank of Oman.
