The IDB has approved a $125 million loan to Banco Pine that will make financing opportunities for sustainability projects more accessible. The unsecured A/B loan will go towards working capital, long-term loans and financing capital expenditure for projects in sectors like bio-fuels and renewable energy. In the next five years the loan is expected to increase Pine's green portfolio by $600 million, which will help Brazil's government reach their goals of supplying the country's energy matrix with more environmentally friendly sources by 2021.
