Banca popolare dell'Emilia Romagna, Societa cooperative. (BIT:BPE) acquired the remaining 19.2% stake in OPTIMA S.p.a. SGR from Banco di Sardegna S.p.A. (BIT:BSRP) for €12.5 million, in cash, on September 28, 2012. Banca popolare will pay €2.6 for each share of Optima. OPTIMA reported on December 31, 2011, total assets of €57.7 million, net assets of €48.6 million and profit of €15.5 million. The transaction has been approved by the Board of Directors of Banco di Sardegna unanimously. The sale of the stake in Optima Spa determines in the financial year 2012, a gross capital gain of €9.6 million.
