BAE Systems has successfully tested its prototype Counter Unmanned Aircraft System (C-UAS) for Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicles (AMPVs) in a recent live-fire demonstration.

The AMPV C-UAS prototype demonstrated its ability to accurately detect, track, identify and defeat or disable fixed and mobile air and ground targets.

The exercise showed the turret engaging ground targets and using a homing capability to target small stationary and mobile UAVs with 30mm proximity shells.

' In just over a year, our successful collaboration with Moog on the C-UAS prototype has shown the art of the possible that can be generated by a rapid response from the industry's leading suppliers' said Bill Sheehy, BAE Systems' AMPV Program Director.
