Aurora Investment Trust plc announces the appointments of Helen Vaughan and Farah Buckley as non-executive directors of the Company with immediate effect. Helen will take over from Lady Rachael Robathan as Audit Chair. Lady Rachael Robathan will assume the role of Chair of the Management Engagement Committee and also of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, to replace Hon.

James Nelson who retired from the Board on 28 June 2022. Both Helen and Farah will become members of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and Management Engagement Committee. Additionally, Farah will become a member of the Audit Committee.

Helen Vaughan- Helen has over 30 years of investment management experience. As the chief operating officer for the JOHCM Group, Helen oversaw the transformation of its operating model to one which supported rapid growth and also significantly reduced operational risk to the business, before retiring in September 2019. Prior to joining JOHCM Group in 2004, Helen was Director of Business Development at Credit Suisse Asset Management, and before that Head of Investment Operations at SLC Asset Management and Head of Client Accounting at Framlington.

Helen is a Chartered Accountant and has a BA (Hons) in Combined Arts from the University of Leicester. She currently serves as non-executive director on three Irish fund boards and an Irish and UK management company. Helen is also a certified independent fund director.

Farah Buckley- Farah has spent 20 years in financial services across Audit, Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity and is currently an Independent NED at Lloyds of London managing agent Apollo Syndicate Management Limited. Previously the Head of Investment Solutions at Hermes GPE and the Head of UK at Adveq, Farah brings extensive experience of growth, innovation and strategy with a particular focus on technology and ESG. Farah worked at boutique corporate finance house McQueen where she worked on numerous deals within the retail, consumer and leisure sectors.

She previously gained her ACA qualification at Deloitte. Farah sits as an Advisory Council member at Real Estate Balance, a non-profit campaigning for diversity in Real Estate, and throughout her career, has a been a member of committees including BVCA and the Global Thinkers Forum and Arts for India charities.
