Aurelia Metals Limited announced that it has received the final assay results for a program designed to test for depth extensions to the high grade North Pod lode. The exploration drilling targeted an area below the 585 Level, which is currently the base of Probable Reserves in this lode. The new drilling has successfully extended gold and base metal mineralisation at least 100 metres vertically below this level. In addition to the recent drilling in the deeper parts of North Pod, the first development drive into the lode has now been completed on the 560 Level. Good gold and base metal grades were encountered, with around 3,400 tonnes of North Pod ore mined and treated through the Hera processing plant in late December and early January. The results from 96 grade control samples taken from this material have returned average grades of 9.3g/t Au, 12.6% Pb+Zn and 62g/t Ag. Access of the North Pod lode on both the 535 and 585 Levels is also imminent, with development ore from both levels expected in the next two weeks. The accelerated development in this area will enable the first stope production from this lode at the end of this quarter 2018. Underground drilling has recently commenced at the Kershaws prospect, located around 280 metres east of the Hera lodes. The program will initially comprise 10 holes for a total 3,000 metres of drilling, with access from an existing decline stockpile on the 315 Level. Wide-spaced historic surface drilling has shown that Kershaws has broad, strongly altered zones with distinct similarities to the Hera orebody. The prospect is known to have strong base mineralisation in places, with historic surface hole CNYDD005B returning 5.1 metres at 19.9% Pb+Zn and 0.7g/t Au.
