Argo Investments Limited reported consolidated earnings results for the half year ended December 31, 2015. For the period, the company has posted profit of $114.2 million against $104.8 million a year ago. Earnings per share were 17.0 cents against 15.8 cents a year ago.

The profit growth was mostly due to higher dividends and distributions from the investments in the portfolio, with the increased market volatility assisting option writing income strategy. Total revenue was $118.95 million against $112.65 million a year ago. Income from operating activities was $126.25 million against $114.73 million a year ago.

Profit before income tax expenses was $121.88 million against $111.01 million a year ago. Net operating cash inflows was $109.24 million against $118,101 million a year ago. Payments for fixed assets was $0.030 million against $0.015 million a year ago.
